Hi,
I have a costumers' 2016 Fiat Doblo 1.3d EURO 6 engine 330A1000 with the fault P044A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor "C" Circuit.
A little history of the car. In september '24, the car wouldn't start and the customer took it to a Opel dealership near his town. They changed a exhaust gas temperature sensor, a dpf differencial sensor, and a used EGR LOW PRESSURE body because they saw that it was faulty. The car worked good but only for a day or two, then again, it wouldn't start or if it started, every possible light in the instrument panel would flash or stay on. After many attempts and money, the customer took the car and brought it to us. We opened the tube that goes from the egr heat exchanger to the dpf and it was like new (it was supposed to be dark from the exhaust gases) and it had waterdrops with clear water inside (it was not red from engine coolant) and the EGR actuator also had some waterdrops. We changed the actuator because of a short circuit that was caused from the water. The air filter compartment was clear and dry. The DPF is trying to do regenerations but with a faulty egr and the engine light on, it is a bit difficult. We have concluded that the EGR low pressure actuator is getting short circuit because of the clean water. But where is the clear water coming from? Thanks in advance for any answers.
